Every one of our scarves begins in the forest, with a camera, and a lifelong artist's eye for beauty and small details. A fallen leaf. Macro views of tree bark as unique as snowflakes. Intricate patterns of lichen that create communities of beauty on every tree trunk. Photographed, layered, painted on, and translated into 100% silk twill in small, limited editions. 

Each scarf design is derived from The Thousand Leaves Project — a personal and spiritual practice Richard Stone has nurtured for decades. Our hope is that wearing these poetic expressions brings you the same stillness and wonder he felt in their making.
